Congratulations to the EET3350 students for their work on innovative prototypes for the final project and business pitch. This competition was the first of its kind and was held from December 2, 2019 through December 4, 2019.
The course covered Project Based Learning and Entrepreneurial Mindset Learning. Students were assigned to work on a final team project consisting of identifying a problem in society and developing a solution based on the embedded design skills and PCB design skills learned in class. Students were required to design and build a prototype based on the TM4C123 launchpad; in addition, students conducted market research, prepared cost comparisons, and developed a value proposition to pitch their business.
The winning team, receiving a $100 prize, was Team Blue. The project was a portable gas detection system. A certificate was graciously presented to the winning team by Dr. Alaraje, Chair of the Engineering Department and Prof. Mubenga. The team members were Conner Barr (leader), Aaron Dickrede, Richard Reed, and Trey Webkin.
